    Sheppard’s Pie has created a range of dishes to suit all tastes and is updated seasonally.
 In order to help those wishing to avoid public spaces at this time, we are offering free delivery on all orders. We are also offering extra delivery slots throughout the week.
In order to control our stock and availability, we are currently only taking orders by email or telephone. We ask that you browse our dishes here and then call +41 (0)27 565 2206 or email info@cookinthealps.com to place your order. We can take payments via bank transfer, by telephone or in cash. 
For those who would like to come and browse our stock in person, our premises will be open 14.00-18.00 daily for the moment, with strict protocols in place to ensure the safety and health of all our customers.

Sheppard’s Pie offers Verbier guests and residents a homemade ready-meal door-to-door service. Our delicous dinners cost less than eating out and you still don't have to shop, cook or wash up the pans! We deliver to chalets in the village on Tuesday and Saturday lunchtimes, as well as on Friday evenings - or they are available for collection at a mutually convenient time. They come in portions of 1, 2, 4 and 6, some of which can be cooked straight from frozen. Our dishes suit all taste and are updated seasonally. They come with full cooking instructions and are delivered in recyclable or re-usable containers, or you can transfer them into your own dishes. You can specify on ordering whether you would like the dishes delivered frozen or ready-to-cook. Please note that if delivered ready-to-cook, they may already have been frozen by us.

Delivery days and lead times

We deliver on Tuesday and Saturday at around midday, and on Friday evenings around 18.00. We need three days for preparation, so the deadlines for ordering are:

  • Order by 17:00 on Tuesday for delivery on Friday evening
  • Order by 12:00 on Wednesday for delivery on Saturday lunchtime
  • Order by 12:00 on Friday for delivery on Tuesday lunchtime

If, however, you've missed the deadline but still want to place an order, please contact us to see what we have in stock - we will hopefully still be able to help! 

Collection option

You also have the option to pick up your order, at a mutually convenient time, from our premises in the centre of Verbier. Simply select the collection option in the checkout process.


Any major allergens are highlighted in the ingredients of each dish, both on this website and on the label. Please note, however, that since we work with all foods in our premises, we cannot guarantee there will be no trace quantities. For more information please do ask. 

New for winter 2019/20

As we constantly update our menus and offering to give you the best choice, this year we have expanded our range to include some exciting new additions.  You can now order wine from our wine-list to be delivered with your Splendid Suppers.  We have created a welcome pack for your arrival, to give you everything you could need for your first evening and morning until you have had the chance to find your bearings.  And in case you were thinking of having a gathering of friends while on your holiday, we have also created a canape menu so you have lovely finger-food at your fingertips!

Cat Sheppard first came to Verbier in 1999 to work for Ski Verbier and since then has cooked for McLaren F1, Malmaison and Hotel de Vin, Tea @ Liberty, Mike Robinson’s Game and Wild Food Cookery School and spent seven years teaching cookery to London’s school children for The Children’s Food Trust. She returned to Verbier in 2016 and started Sheppard’s Pie Splendid Suppers, catering to those who want to enjoy good food in their chalets without any of the hassle. In 2017, she partnered with Amy Corbett, a private chef based in Verbier, and in addition they together opened Mountain Thyme Cookery School. Mountain Thyme not only offers cookery classes to kids and adults in a beautiful kitchen in the centre of town, but also provides catering services, beautiful wedding and celebration cakes and private dining, either in the lovely dining room or on our sunny terrace.
